Is this the rarest film poster in the world? Of course not, but it is the only one we can think of that actually depicts God.
Just a few years after the Life Of Brian controversy, this Terry Gilliam poster flirts with blasphemy again to promote the comedy troupe’s acerbic tirade of philosophical satire.
The anthropomorphic caricature is harmless enough, though somewhere between engineering ineptitude and plain indecisiveness this vision of the Creator struggles with some very human fallibilities. Python irony on a cosmic scale.
